Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Would you like to change the color and shape of your teeth while closing unattractive spaces? Are you teeth discolored from tetracycline stains?

All Porcelain Veneers will brighten up your smile in a very conservative, natural-appearing manner while eliminating cosmetic flaws. With a minimal amount of tooth reduction, veneers will reflect light and resist chipping/staining. And in just two appointments!

At the first appointment, we will shape your teeth, take impressions, and apply provisional veneers. Our highly skilled, artistic dental lab will then fabricate a veneer that will blend in beautifully with your other teeth. At your final appointment, one to two weeks later, the long-lasting veneer will be cemented to your tooth.

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

Why is a Crown needed? A crown is a porcelain restoration that strengthens and restores your tooth back to its natural appearance. When your tooth has become weakened, it affects both your appearance and your chewing function.

Completely surrounding the tooth with the edges fitting tightly to your gum line, crowns will rebuild your tooth, correct poor spacing, and cover imperfections. A two-appointment process is needed and natural, provisional temporaries will be applied.

Dr. Spencer is also highly trained in computerized dentistry and utilizes the CEREC 3D® system, which provides a full ceramic crown often in just one appointment. An evaluation will be made to determine if you are a candidate for this type of crown.

What is an implant? An implant is a man-made tooth root that fuses with the jawbone. A crown is then placed over this root to form a secure foundation for tooth replacement. This process also prevents the adjacent teeth on both sides of the implant from being reduced to accommodate a bridge.

What is a Bridge? A bridge will restore the shape, contour and function where teeth are missing. Replacement tooth or teeth are fused crowns that permanently cover the adjacent natural teeth, when dental implants are not an option. There are several types of bridges used to restore the teeth. Dr. Spencer will provide a thorough evaluation and discuss your options before your first appointment.

Tooth Colored Fillings: Inlays and Onlays

Tooth Colored Fillings: Inlays and Onlays

Do you have unsightly silver fillings that prevent you from smiling? Dr. Spencer can help!

Utilizing the best materials available, we will replace your silver filling with a natural tooth colored composite material that will add strength and esthetic appeal to your tooth.

For larger, several surface fillings, our lab will fabricate a porcelain inlay or onlay. An inlay is a porcelain restoration that will lay and fill in the occlusal (chewing) surface of the tooth. An onlay, often called a partial crown, will cover both the occlusal and inside/outside surfaces of the tooth while rebuilding the cusps of your teeth that have been weakened from decay. You can expect an inlay or an onlay to last as long as a porcelain crown.
